How to Paint a Galaxy

Picture
Do you like to see the stars in the night sky? If so then this article is just for you! Here you are going to be reading how to paint a galaxy! Just by mixing watercolors together, you can make a beautiful artwork! It can also be very useful when you have an art project to submit.

Have you ever seen other artworks relating to the topic galaxy? If so, then you might have noticed that this artwork requires a lot of color blending which is what makes a galaxy artwork look unique. Do not worry; you would not also have to spend so much money.

First, prepare all the materials needed. Buy a set of watercolors; make sure that dark blue, light blue, pink, purple, and black paints are there. Buy a canvas or just regular thick paper. Prepare both of your brushes and fill a container with water.

Next, start painting light blue in different areas of the canvas/thick paper, be sure to add plenty of water, but also be careful not to overdo it or the paper might tear apart. After applying the light blue paint start applying the light purple paint, make the two-colors mix a bit, so it looks cool. Then, add a light pink paint and mix it with the purple. After purple, add dark blue and make sure to fill the entire place. After filling the page let it dry before moving to the next.

Then get ready to use a little bit of black paint. F.Y.I. Every coating will have to be painted darker than the previous one. Before applying the black paint, add a little water to the area you want to paint. After that, start mixing black and dark blue together….remember, not too much black. Add the mixture to the canvas/thick paper on the area you added dark blue on your first coating. Next, add purple and mix it with the blue... only a little bit. Then start adding pink and light blue, remember to fill the page and let it dry again.

Continue applying paint with a darker shade by mixing black or dark blue after it has dried up. Make sure that on your final coating the canvas/thick paper already looks like a galaxy...but without the stars.

After your final coating is complete, get your small brush, dip it in the white paint, and with your finger flick the brush backwards so it splatters on the galaxy like stars⭐️! Also, do not overdo the star creating or your galaxy you just finished creating would not look like a galaxy anymore.

Finally, let it dry and be patient. After 20-30 minutes, your painting would be complete.

Now you know how to paint a galaxy! Your very own art project!

Movie vs Book

Ever read the books like Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer, The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien, or Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton? Maybe you haven’t read them, but I’m pretty sure you’ve watched them right? People say reading a book is better, others say it isn’t because they understand things easily visually. But, what are the differences and similarities between a Movie and a Book?

For similarities, both Movies and Books relate to art. They both project reality as well as fiction. They both offer and encourage creativity. They can both provide good information about history and culture, and they can both provide enjoyment.

But for differences, movies are in electronic format while books can be printed or can be in electronic format as well. Movies give us visual as well as mental pleasure while books provide us mental pleasure. Movies provide us real life scenes while books can only describe them. Movies have a greater number of audiences while books have limited readers. Movies become the collective output of different artists and technicians while books are output of knowledge and creativity of one or maximum two persons.

In my opinion, watching movies may seem to help you visually understand the story, but reading the book of that story first is what I would suggest. In a book, every detail of a character/scene is included and not a single information is left out while in a movie, directors have difficulty managing the movie time, since the book is too long, so the only option they really have is to cut out chapters/scenes. Don’t worry the necessary information will still be included in the movie. For people out there in the world who do not enjoy reading… I suggest you start now. Although watching a movie compared to reading a book may seem easier, reading helps grow your vocabulary.

And if you don’t like reading just remember:
“Everyone is a reader… some just haven’t found their favorite book yet.” (Stephen King)
And if you say you don’t have time, also remember:
“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time or the tools to write. Simple as that.” (Stephen King)
Some examples of the books which have been turned into famous movies are in the slideshow at the top.

My mother has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. One of her sisters and 2 brothers are in our home country, the Philippines, while the third brother is here in Thailand. Her fourth brother is in Australia and  her older sister is in UK. For this week I've got my favorite aunts and my Mom to help me answer these questions:
  • What is it that you like doing with your family?
  • Where do you like to go out with your family?

Mom

  1. "I love being together with my family, cooking together, watching movies together, playing together, and going to the church, and to the grocery together."
  2. "I love to go with my family, especially out of town, e.g., to the beach, important tourist attractions, to my country, the Philippines, and eating outdoor with them."

Aunt 1

  2. "I like going to the beach with my family.
  1. "I love being with my family and having fun with them. As an older sister I'm in charge of taking care of my brother and sister while my parents are gone, and while I do so I love joking around with them."
  2. "I would really like to go to a place I have never been before, a place which is so new to me and my family. But if I have to be specific... I want to go back to Japan, and this time at Hokkaido or Osaka."

You can answer these questions too! Just answer in the comment section below. I'd really appreciate it if you do.

Let Me Tell You This...

Let me tell you this,
We are all equal,
Let me tell you this,
whether male or female,
black or white,
We all deserve an opportunity,
We all deserve a chance.
Let me tell you this,
You can’t start judging others,
about their looks
You can’t start separating
the girls and the boys
Let me tell you this,
It is unfair to give the opportunity to learn only to the boys
When you know a girl too, can be smart
Let me tell you this,
You can’t start a war from your own temper
to bring down another nation and make it your territory
Let me tell you this,
You cannot just destroy a home
which didn’t belong to you in the first place.
Let me tell you this,
You’ve just got to share what's necessary in life,
Whether Rich or poor

I’ve learned that it is us beings who started this racism, war, slavery, etc.
And I’ve come to think that we just might be more dangerous than any other dangerous species we all know.
To change that, we
must start changing ourselves, for the better.

Let me tell you this… Let’s change the world together, because together, WE CAN!
